Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to: understand family law, law of the inheritance and obligations.
Learning outcomes
After completion of the student will be able to: - understand family law and the inheritence law; - understand and execute the contractual process, and individual contracts, their amendments, affirmation and termination, - understand the lien and damages
Syllabus
  • 1. Family Law. 2. Marital property law. 3. Law of Succession, the acquisition in case of death (testament). 4. Relative property rights. Contract. Conclusion of contracts. 5. Change in liabilities. 6. Extinction of liabilities. 7. Liabilities from contracts with consumers. 8. Obtain and reaffirmation of debt. Lien. 9. Contract of sale and deed of gift. 10. Rent. 11. Loan and credit. Company. 12. Torts.

Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study. Students who do not fulfil the compulsory attendance may be assigned additional study tasks throughout the term (in an extent that will prove study results and acquired competencies necessary for successful completion of the course)
Assessment methods
Course credit in the form of a seminar paper (at least 6 x 1800 signs, scientifi micro-study analyzing specific legal problem, topic to be approved by the examiner). Exam written test (or oral examination). Successful completion of the course is conditional on answering correctly at least 60% of the questions written test. Non-attendance in the seminars means an obligation to pass an extra test besides the seminar paper.
