The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The course focuses on providing students with detailed information on local government property assets and public property assets. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand and explain basic concepts contained in relevant legislation and difficult issues of public property management. Students will be able to use the information about public sector property assets, legislation on public support and public contracts in order to solve specific cases.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to: - define public property and define basic concepts - characterize state property - determine characteristics and differences between the property of the municipality, the region and the state - describe the differences in the characteristics of the capital city of Prague - describe the differences between the handling of state and private property, - describe the specifics, powers and obligations in public asset control and audit, - characterize public support and contracts, including differences, - analyze the methods used to decide on sources of financing in the field of public assets, including the main risks, - know the basic aspects of the state's financial policy

Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study.
Assessment methods
The condition for obtaining the credit is to make and present a short slides presentation on a theme chosen by the student, in agreement with the lecturer himself, from the course subject matter.
