Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim is to shape students' ability to orientate in the issue of securing and protecting public order in the society. Further the subject is focused on the introduction of fundamental problems threating public order, methods of fighting, mitigating and eliminating theses threats and crucial actors participating on these procedures on local, regional and state level. theoretical knowledge in solving typical problems forming in the forensic practice. Then shape the students the necessary skills necessary for the analysis of investigative situations, the choice of adequate means for their solution.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction to the issue, definition of public order and key terms associated with security in society, standards of conduct and behavior in public. 2. Protection of public order within the Police of the Czech Republic. 3. Organizational structure of the Police of the Czech Republic. 4. Order police service, individual components, tasks and procedures in ensuring public order. 5. Legislative protection of public order. 6. Protection of public order from the point of view of the state. 7. Protection of public order within the independent jurisdiction of municipalities. 8. Public order and prevention. 9. The role of the municipal police in ensuring public order. 10. Offenses in the field of public order - Act No. 251/2016 Coll., on certain offenses 11. Public choirs of the Czech Republic and their cooperation. 12. Private security services and their role in protecting public order.

Teaching methods
Theoretical preparation, lectures, seminar exercises, preparation of seminar work, practical exercises
Assessment methods
Oral, written, written and oral. The level of knowledge will be checked during the seminars in the form of a discussion on the topics discussed. The course ends with credit and an exam. Credit requirement - mandatory participation in exercises (50% KS, 75% PS), or based on the preparation of the seminar work. The criterion for passing the exam is knowledge of the lectured material and compulsory literature, either orally or in writing.
