The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Students will be familiarized with industrial rights, copyright and copyright (including related rights and sui generis rights), know basic theoretical bases (including links to other intellectual property rights and unfair competition law), concepts, content, the subject matter and subject matter of these rights as well as the underlying obligations of the law. The student must be able to recognize and judge simple legal questions and interpret a simple legal text.

  • 1. The concept of intellectual property rights and the right to unfair competition and interdependence. 2. Industrial rights and other objects of protection. The subject of law. 3. Content of the law. Osobnostní a majetková. 4. Handling the subject of contractual protection (license in general). 5. Protection and enforcement. 6. Trademarks. 7. Collective trade marks. 8. Generally known stamps. 9. Designation of origin. 10. Type designation. 11. Exclusive License Agreement. 12. Non-exclusive license agreements.

Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study. In case of absence of the student workshops and consultations (individual study plan, absence due to illness), the student is required to prepare a short paper (5-10 pages) on the topic set after consultation teacher. After its submission and approval by teacher eligible to take an exam.
Assessment methods
The course is completed with written exam. The written exam consists of 10 multiple choice test questions with 0-4 correct answers. A written paper may be required in case of non-attendance.
