- Course objectives
- At the end of this course, students will be able to orientate themselves in public administration systems in the member countries of the European Union; will be able to use the knowledge gained to compare the systems of public administration in both theory and practical application of European freedoms; will be able to define the basic principles of the European Administrative Space and to characterize the relationship of local governments member states and EU institutions.

- Successful passing of the exam from the subject.

- Comparison of basic principles of Anglo-Saxon and continental model of public administration.
- Public Administration in the UK specifics of state and local governments; Citizen's Chart and Next Steps Initiative.
- The Scandinavian model of public administration - the specifics of individual countries (Finland, Norway, Sweden).
- Comparison of the development and current state of public administration in Spain and Portugal.
- Public Administration in France, a separate characteristic performance of the VS, the president's role, state and local governments.
- Comparison of the systems of public administration in the Federal Republic of Germany and Austria.
- The system of public administration in Italy, the role of government.
- Comparison of the system of public administration in the Balkan countries.
- The problems of political regionalism in Europe and its impact on the political and public systems in EU countries.
- European Administrative Space - basic principles, goals.
