The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The objective of the subject is to adopt knowledge about Public Services functioning in the Czech Republic (Police of the Czech Republic, Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, Custom Service, Prison Service, intelligence services, General Inspection of Security Services, armed forces and also Municipality Police). After this subject the student is able to explain basic system, organization and powers of particular Security Services, also aimed to employees, members of security services and soldiers, who operate in Public Services and their membersip or employment to Security Services. Student will have enough information about administrative law, security law, aimed to concrete Public Services.
Syllabus
  • Basic content of the subject is: Základním osnovou předmětu je: 1. Introduction to the Public Services of the Czech Republic (Police of the Czech Republic, Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, Custom Service, Prison Service, intelligence services, General Inspection of Security Services, armed forces and also Municipality Police). 2. Introduction to the legislation of Public Services operating in the Czech Republic. 3. Introduction to the organization, system, powers and sphere af authority of particular Public Services operating in the Czech Republic. 4. Introduction to the employment/membership to the Public Services operating in the Czech Republic.

Teaching methods
Lecture, verbal monological method with elements of dialogue with students (informationally -receptive method), combined with visual projection of presentation. Furthermore combined with working with textbook (written documentation).
Assessment methods
Active and ongoing activity in the framework of the education in the classroom and then final exam - written test.
