Course objectives
After graduating from teaching the student will be able to understand the problems of Criminology as a multidisciplinary science standing at the intersection of several disciplines. Get acquainted with selected issues of criminological research, will be equipped with competencies affecting the aetiological, phenomenological issues of crime with their interference in the field of practical criminal policy. Students will acquire skills useful in his next professional interaction within the meaning of the establishment of the objective "critical" view of the current situation, the structure and dynamics of criminality.

  • 1. The definition of the subject of Criminology, the position of the current system of Sciences in Criminology. 2. Current phenomenology of crime in the territory of the United States (status, structure, dynamics of crime). 3. Property criminality. 4. Violent crimes. 5. Vice crime. 6. Economic crime. 7. Juvenile delinquency. 8. Opportunities to control juvenile delinquency. 9. Crime against youth. 10.Organized crime. 11.Drug criminality. 12.Cybernetic crime.

Teaching methods
Lectures in full-time and part-time; the minimum mandatory participation in seminars/workshops in the full-time form of study is 75%.
Assessment methods
The subject is terminated and the credit by examination. The criterion for the award of compensation is in the form of full-time development seminar work on a given theme (presentation on exercise/seminar), the combined form of study completion of a written test. The exam is oral.
