Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the theoretical foundations necessary for the management of business information systems (BIS) with emphasis on the importance of information in internal and external business communication and principles of security policies in the field of IS.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to: - identify and summarize important features of enterprise information systems; - identify and describe current domestic and foreign business information systems; - describe the factors that influence an undertaking's decision to purchase GIS; - compare and highlight differences in types of enterprise information systems; - design their own company information system;

Teaching methods
Lectures, class discussion, group projects, homework, reading. The combined study will take the form of a guided consultation, where, in addition to the condensed presentation of the topic, previous self-study. Teaching in the distance form of study will take place in the form of tutorials, ongoing consultations and control of the fulfillment of ongoing tasks.
Assessment methods
The course is finished with a credit (3 credits).
Full-time study: The award of credit is tied to the fulfillment of the obligation of active attendance min. 75% (ie active participation in the course of teaching). CREDIT: Elaboration of team credit work - assignment see IS (Assignment with credit work template).
Combined study: The award of credit is tied to the fulfillment of the obligation of active attendance in min. 50% of guided consultations (active participation in the course of teaching). Credit - see full-time form of teaching.
Distance learning: credit is tied to participation in tutorials (active participation in the course of the tutorial). Credit and exam see full-time form of teaching.
Students will not be accepted late attendance during classes, and if a class, tutorial, or consultation through Microsoft Teams takes place, the camera and microphone are expected to be turned on when the teacher is prompted.
