Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic technologies used for creating simple web pages: HTML, Javascript and cascading styles.
Learning outcomes
The absolvents of the course should be able to create web-presentations using HTML, Javascript and CSS. They shall have appropriate impression on limits of these languages.

  • Javascript basics,
  • Javascript (DOM),
  • CSS,
  • easy introduction to PHP, assignments to HTML and Javascript,
  • easy introduction to Java, assignments to HTML and Javascript,
  • SGML, XML, XHTML, assignments,

Teaching methods
- lectures and seminars in full-time study, - tutorials in part-time study, Minimal required participation is 75% on seminars in full-time study and 50% on tutorials in part-time study. Students with lower than required participation have to fulfill additional study duties.
Assessment methods
Homework (creating presentation at arbitrary topic that demonstrates particular lectured topics) or giving a speech on a given topic - min. 80 %. Practical test (creating prescribed presentation) - min. 70 %.
