Cíle předmětu
Learning outcomes of the course unit: The aim of the course is to build the knowledge base in the field of management and balanced leadership from a relatively wide point of view so that the student is well equipped for the subsequent - more specialized - subjects of the studied field.

The student will have the following professional knowledge and student will be able to:
define, understand and understand the nature and meaning of management, explain and justify why management is necessary for all kinds of organizations,
to clarify system approach, to specify management functions / processes, to define the advantages and disadvantages of individual organizational structures,
explain the benefits of CRM's approach and philosophy, continuity of the concept of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility, ethics in the business environment,
explain the difference between process and project management, to explain the concept of innovation, Model of Innovative Management,
Develop a Personal Development Plan
to work with information sources, to analyze acquired data and to set targets
to design an effective organizational structure,

Výukové metody
Lectures will usually include a lecture (theory, new knowledge including practical examples) and a practical part (case study). Part of the lecture can be filled with self-assessment questionnaires, discussion on the topic, group work, etc. It will include the assignment of home preparation tasks for the next lesson. The exercises will be focused on learning to learn through their own judgment, based on economic and critical thinking oriented towards entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship, creativity, creativity, presentation and communication, active attitude to the world, open access to new forms of management. Emphasis will be placed not on accurate thinking based on verified qualitative and quantitative data, on the ability to work with information, with trend information and presentation systems. Management will be presented on a scientific basis as a sequence of interconnected projects and processes.
Combined study will take place in the form of a controlled consultation where, in addition to a condensed presentation of the topic, a previous self-study is also expected to allow for subsequent consultation.
Distance form of study will take place in the form of tutorials, ongoing consultations and elaboration of ongoing tasks, tests.
Metody hodnocení
The subject is completed by credit "z" and the exam.
FULL-TIME study: CREDIT "z" - 1. active attendance min. 75% (ie not just attendance, but active participation in teaching, discussion, interaction, argumentation), + 2. seminar paper - Locket of family business and evaluation of current activities (Search for a family business in your native country, 1. Part: Assemble its locket / story - history, business subject, timeline of development, the importance of the company for the city in which company is operating, excellence and know-how, .... + 2. Part: Evaluate current activities, tables you fill out (marketing, communication, IT, …).ORAL EXAM (A,B,C,D,E,F,-): relevant discussion about your seminar paper. ISP students only - intermediate tasks, see IS Custostomized study plan (CSP) student requirements. Without the completion of intermediate tasks (this is only for CSP students due to their absence in courses, where other students work on current issue) and seminar paper the subject can not be successfully completed.
COMBINED study: CREDIT "z" - 1. active attendance in min. 50% participation in managed consultations (but not just attendance, but active participation in teaching, discussion, interaction, argumentation). + 2. fulfillment of continuous online test (without time limit), + 3. seminar paper - Locket of family business and evaluation of current activities (Search for a family business in your native country, 1. Part: Assemble its locket / story - history, business subject, timeline of development, the importance of the company for the city in which company is operating, excellence and know-how, .... + 2. Part: Evaluate current activities, tables you fill out (marketing, communication, IT, …). ORAL EXAM (A,B,C,D,E,F,-): relevant discussion about your seminar paper. There are no prerequisites for this course, however, mastering the basics of business environment and the business relations are expected. In both full and part-time study forms each topic will be mostly presented (in detailed or condensed form – according to the type of study) in PPT presentations, followed by an interactive discussion. Presentation materials used within lecture will be available for students of the course in IS (file of the course). Customized study plan (CSP) students only - intermediate tasks, see IS CSP student requirements Please feel free to contact me if anything unclear.
