The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The student can prepare the Assignment of the Diploma Thesis (DP) and the Purpose of the DP, i.e. correctly formulate the hypothesis of the diploma thesis, develop a strategy and determine the methods of processing the diploma thesis that will be adequate to achieve the set goal.
At the end of the course, the student will be ready to prepare a diploma thesis in the follow-up course Diploma Project 1. During the course of the course, students will be guided in a seminar form to observe the author's ethics (citation standard) and the quality of creative professional work.
Learning outcomes
After the passing the course, the student is able to write the Assignment of the DT and research proposal. The student is prepared to write the DT which is expected from him/her in the follow - up courses Diploma project 1-2. The students will be tought to stick to the principles of ethics and to the quality of the creative academic writing.

Teaching methods
Seminars in the face-to-face form of study, guided group consultations in the combined form of study. The minimum mandatory participation in seminars in the face-to-face form of study is 75%, in guided group consultations in the combined form of study 50%. If face-to-face teaching and consultation in the personal presence of the student in face-to-face and combined form of study becomes impossible, the teaching is replaced by a distance form of study.
Assessment methods
The subject is completed with a credit based on the submission of the assignment of the thesis and the text of the intention of the thesis (approved by the signature of the supervisor of the thesis). Credit is awarded exclusively by the pedagogue teaching the subject, not by the supervisor of the thesis. Submission The assignment of the diploma thesis and the Intention of the thesis is done by inserting the subject N_DSeEM - EM Diploma Seminar into the Submission Office. The conditions for successful completion of the subject by ISP students are the same.
