- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- After completing the course the student will acquire basic knowledge and skills in management practices, which are a prerequisite for the performance of senior management and economic functions. Scope of Managerial Economics is based on the basic application of managerial economics in business, management and decision-making processes. Students will revise and linking knowledge of business economics, accounting, macro-and microeconomics. Students acquire basic knowledge about the categories of managerial economics, functions and coherence of activities within the enterprise architecture.
- Syllabus
- 1. Marketing starting a business project.
- 2. Assets and capital structure of the company, balance sheet leverage.
- 3. Costs and revenues, cost classification, management concepts of cost, variable and fixed costs, costing, budgeting and planning.
- 4. The role of profit in business, relationships between profit, production volume, price and cost analysis of a tipping point, a threshold variable and fixed costs and price limits, operating leverage.
- 5. Business Financing - classic financial analysis, pyramidal decomposition of indicators and aggregates.
- 6. Working capital management, cash flow management.
- 7. Value Based Management, optimizing the capital structure of the company.
- 8. Methods for assessing the effectiveness of investments, investment planning, sources of financing.
- 9. Managing risk when making investment decisions, the investment portfolio.
- 10. Controlling and internal audit, strategic scenarios, creation of financial reserves.
- 11. Valuation and management of business value.
- 12. Foreign currency transactions (financial derivatives - forwards, futures, options).

- Teaching will be based on lectures, in which the theory supplemented by practical examples on which the listener an idea of the actual role of managers in business management. Lectures on a full time tutorials in combined studies with regard to the demands of the subject is expected to be full-time students participate in lectures, tutorials compulsory attendance at 50%.
- Assessment methods
- Requirements for credit: credit condition is active participation in exercises, respectively. consultations and passed a written test focused on practical examples. Test requirements: The test takes the form of a written test comprising a horizontal set of issues. Student adds a written explanation relevant charts. Assesses the comprehensiveness and accuracy of responses.

- Předpokladem úspěšného zvládnutí tohoto předmětu jsou dobré znalosti podnikové ekonomiky, účetnictví, makro- a mikroekonomie.

- Cílem předmětu je poskytnout studentům základní znalosti a dovednosti manažerských praktik, které jsou předpokladem pro výkon vrcholových řídících a ekonomických funkcí. Předmět Manažerská ekonomika se opírá o základní aplikace manažerské ekonomiky do podnikatelských, řídících a rozhodovacích procesů. Předpokladem úspěšného zvládnutí tohoto předmětu jsou dobré znalosti podnikové ekonomiky, účetnictví, makro- a mikroekonomie. Cílem je získat základní přehled o kategoriích manažerské ekonomiky, funkcích a provázanosti činností v rámci podnikové architektury.

- 1. Marketingová východiska podnikatelského projektu. 2. Majetková a kapitálová struktura podniku, rozvaha, finanční páka. 3. Náklady a výnosy, klasifikace nákladů, manažerské pojetí nákladů, variabilní a fixní náklady, kalkulace nákladů, rozpočty a plánování. 4. Úloha zisku v podnikání, vztahy mezi ziskem, objemem výroby, cenou a náklady, analýza bodu zvratu, stanovení limitu variabilních a fixních nákladů a limitů ceny, provozní páka. 5. Financování podniku – klasická finanční analýzy, pyramidové rozklady ukazatelů a souhrnné ukazatele. 6. Řízení provozního kapitálu, řízení cash flow. 7. Value Based Management, optimalizace kapitálové struktury podniku. 8. Metody posuzování efektivnosti investic, plánování investic, zdroje financování. 9. Řízení rizik při investičním rozhodování, investiční portfolio. 10. Controlling a interní audit, strategické scénáře, tvorba finančních rezerv. 11. Oceňování a řízení hodnoty podniku. 12. Cizoměnové operace (finanční deriváty – forwardy, futures, opce).

- Požadavky na zápočet: Podmínkou zápočtu je aktivní účast na cvičeních, resp. konzultacích a absolvování písemného testu zaměřeného na řešení praktických příkladů. Požadavky na zkoušku: Zkouška probíhá ve formě písemného testu zahrnujícího průřezový okruh otázek. Student doplňuje písemné vysvětlení relevantními grafy. Hodnotí se komplexnost a správnost odpovědí.
