- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The student is able to work out the Assignment of bachelors´ qualifying 0thesis (QT, BT) and the Introduction to BT. The student will be ready by the end of the course to work out the bachelor´s thesis within a subsequent subject Bachelor Project 1. During the course in seminar classes students will be taught to respect author’s ethics as well as the quality of creative professional work.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course the student should be able to:
- to create the Assignment of bachelor´s qualifying thesis
- to work with literature and references in the right way
- to write academic texts in accordance with the ethics rules of scientific work
- to create the Introduction to bachelor´s thesis - Syllabus
- 1. Meaning, structure, topic and rules of working out the bachelor´s qualifying thesis (QT, BT), Assignment of BT
- 2. Principles and procedure of working out the Introduction to BT
- 3. Information sources, study and working with professional texts
- 4. Methods of professional work, creating BT texts, form of BT
- 5. Forms of BT, ethics of creative work, references and citations
- 6. Conclusion of BT, completing BT and defending BT

- Teaching methods
- Seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study.
- Assessment methods
- The course is completed with a credit based on handing in the Assignment of bachelor qualifying project and the basic text of the Introduction. The management of the faculty can set further conditions for awarding a credit. The credit can be awarded exclusively by the teacher of the subject, not by the supervisor of the Bachelor project.
