- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain general institutes of the civil and corporate laws, define their relation to other branches of the private and to the public law. Students will be able to work with basic public registers containing legal information. They will be able to review, interpret and revise simple standardized contracts from the civil law and agenda of business corporations.
- Learning outcomes
- The outcome of the course is the student's acquired knowledge demonstrated in a written examination.

- Teaching methods
- Lectures and seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; irregular written tests to prove the continuous understanding of students; compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study. Students who do not fulfil the compulsory attendance may be assigned additional study tasks throughout the term (in an extent that will prove study results and acquired competencies necessary for successful completion of the course).
- Assessment methods
- The course is completed with a credit and written test. Students with the 75% presence in seminars will receive credit automatically, those who will not meet these requirements might be asked to prepare a five-page project on one of themes tought during the course. The exam will be in writing, 6 questions with a-d)subquestions correct/false, 4 questions with a - d) subquestions to complete, 2 questions to explain simple legal institute. Maximum points to obtain - 30, minimum to pass the exam - 17.
