- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the rules of preparation and elaboration of the diploma thesis from the elaboration of the assignment, the concept of the work intention to the final elaboration of the work. During the course the students will be guided in the seminar form to adherence to authors' ethics and the quality of creative scientific and professional work.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course the student will be able to prepare the assignment of his final thesis, prepare the work plan and finishing the final thesis in accordance with the general requirements for the diploma thesis using the templates and internal regulations used in our school and in accordance with the citation ethics and requirements on the quality of the independent work of the diploma thesis.

- 1. Meaning, structure, topic and rules of working out the Diploma thesis DT, Assignment of DT
- 2. Principles and procedure of working out the introduction to DT
- 3. Information sources, study and working with scientific and professional texts
- 4. Methods of scientific and professional work, creating DT texts, form of DT
- 5. Forms of DT, ethics of creative work, references and citations
- 6. Conclusion of DT, completing and defending DT

- Teaching methods
- Seminars in full-time study, tutorials in part-time study. Compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study , compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study.
- Assessment methods
- The course is completed with a credit based on handing in the Assignment of the DT and the basic text of the Introduction DT. The management of the faculty can set further conditions for awarding a credit. The credit can be awarded exclusively by the teacher of the subject, not by the DT supervisor.
