The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
At the end of the course, students should be able to understand the basic principles of private law. Will be able to use the basic concepts and will navigate in the institutes, which are for private right to the core. Attention will be devoted in particular to the interpretation of the general part of the civil code, which constitutes the basis of editing the new private rights. Students will be able to interpret the rules of private law. Atttention will be also paid to the general issues of family law, in particular with on practical problém solving. The second part of the course will be dedicated to issues associated with real rights and rights of obligatoion . After the completion of this course, students will be ready in terms of theory for follow-up law courses

Learning outcomes of the course unit are the student's knowledge acquired at the oral exam.

  • 1. System of private law 2. Bbasic interpretation rules of the private law. 3. Individuals and their position in the private law (accountability, responsibility, protection of personality) 4. Property in legal terms (parts, accessories) 5. Legal actions (nullity and relative ineffectiveness) 6. Time and periods of time in the law 7. Marriage (relations between husbands, marital property law, relations between parents and children) 8. Absolute property rights - ownership and co-ownership of 9. Posession and rights in rem 10.Law of inheritance 11. The property rights,- contract, liabilities 12. Obligations from legal action (donation, purchase, Exchange, lease, loan, rent,)

Teaching methods
Teaching in the form of lectures and seminars in the ordinary form of study (minimum 75% participation in seminars) Controlled group consultations requiring the preparation of students in the combined form (minimum 50% participation in seminars).
Assessment methods
Graded assessment through presentation of seminar work and its evaluation . Exam written test. Successful completion of the course is conditional on answering correctly at least 60% of the questions written test.
