Přehled o publikaci

The monograph presents basic criminological theories, schools and currents in a contemporary context. It provides a clear and understandable explanation of the main concepts and presents the leading representatives of individual theories, which it plastically places in their family environment, time and work. Although criminological theories are classified into certain logical groups, the author proceeds in their interpretation basically from a historical perspective, i.e. from the classical criminological school to the present. The work certainly does not contain a complete list of especially contemporary criminological theories, but the theories selected by the author have meant or mean a permanent enrichment of criminological thinking. The publication can be useful not only for academics, students, legislators or workers in the criminal justice system, but also for all those interested in criminology, criminal law, sociology, pedagogy and other related social sciences.
