Innovative activity of the company is a key factor of competitiveness. This paper deals with the realization undemanding, but in terms of presentation of an effective methodology for calculating the parameters of intensity and extensity. The principle of this analysis is so general that it can be used also to improve interpretation of Du Pont's model. Examples are used in the firm Jan Becher - Karlovarska Becherovka.
