TY - JOUR ID - 6514 AU - Valenčík, Radim - Mertl, Jan PY - 2017 TI - Modelling Titanic and Clash of Clans Games: Theoretical Definition and Application in Current Social Systems JF - ACTA VŠFS VL - 11 IS - 2 SP - 160-185 EP - 160-185 PB - EUPRESS SN - 1802792X KW - game theory KW - social systems KW - cooperative games KW - non-cooperative games UR - http://www.vsfs.cz/?id=1042 L2 - http://www.vsfs.cz/?id=1042 N2 - This article develops research into Titanic games and the associated concepts anchored in game theory. It defi nes the conditions under which a Titanic game transitions into a Clash of Clans game and discusses the degree of punishment and its consequences for the nature of the game and the positions of the individual players. The game is analysed in signifi cant detail, clearly showing what happens when diff erent strategies are chosen. At the same time, the article also looks at the context of social policy and social systems, where the application of the analysed games is very benefi cial, and points to the example of the situation in the Czech health insurance system between 2000 and 2010. The identifi cation of the proposed concepts and their possible existence in socio-economic reality enables us to substantially better see what games are being played or can be played, and as such to gain an understanding of what is happening. The article shows the diff erences between Titanic and Clash of Clans games and their possible application in current socia systems. ER -
