The aim of this paper is to discuss the necessity of Systems/Systemic approach to scientific investigation. The paper has the objective to focus on selected methods that may be helpful in grasping research problem and its solution. A scientific hypothesis which will be verified/disproved in the paper reads: “System dynamics model based on a systems archetype are able to support Systems/Systemic approach to scientific investigation“. In this sense, the paper examines a case study of Competitive Intelligence as the current progress in the field of ICT.

Cílem příspěvku je diskutovat o nutnosti systémového/systematického přístupu k vědeckému výzkumu. Předmět příspěvku je zaměřen na vybrané metody, které mohou být užitečné pro pochopení výzkumného problému a jeho řešení. Vědecká hypotéza, která bude v dokumentu ověřena / vyvrácena, zní: "Model systémové dynamiky založený na systémovém archetypu je schopen podporovat systémový/systemický přístup k vědeckému zkoumání". V tomto smyslu příspěvek obsahuje případovou studii Competitive Intelligence jako aktuálního pokroku v oblasti ICT.
