Ratingy jednotlivých agentur jsou na sobě nezávislé, což je předpokladem jejich fungování. Jak se lze přesvědčit z „Sovereign Rating List“ ratingové známky přidělované třemi nejvýznamnějšími ratingovými agenturami Moody`s, Standard & Poor`s a Fitch Ratings se na první pohled navzájem liší. Tento článek se zabývá otázkou, zda jsou rozdíly mezi přidělovanými ratingovými známkami těmito společnostmi statisticky významné. Důkaz o tom, že posudky ratingových agentur na konkrétní zemi jsou v zásadě shodné, bude proveden na základě testu významnosti rozdílů dvou výběrových průměrů. Ze základního souboru, v kterém jsou zastoupeny všechny země světa, jsou vybrány pouze země s ratingovou známkou, získanou od všech tří mezinárodních agentur Standard & Poor´s, Moody´s a Fitch. Data budou ověřovány pro roky 2005, 2007, 2011 a 2017. Ze zkoumání vyplynulo, že rozdíly v ratingových známkách, v uvedených letech, jsou statisticky nevýznamné.

The ratings of individual agencies are independent, which is a prerequisite for their operation. As you can see from “The Sovereign Rating List”, the ratings awarded by the three leading rating agencies Moody`s, Standard & Poor`s, and Fitch Ratings are different at first glance. This article addresses the question of whether the differences between the ratings awarded by these companies are statistically significant. Evidence that the ratings of a country-specific rating agency are essentially the same will be based on a test of the significance of the differences between the two sample averages. Only the countries with a rating stamp from all three international agencies, Standard & Poor's, Moody's, and Fitch, are selected from the base population in which all countries are represented. The data will be verified for the years 2005, 2007, 2011 and 2017. The examination showed that the differences in the rating marks in this years are statistically insignificant.
