Abstract
The presentation will concentrate on the relationship between media and formation of stereotypes of foreign nationals as well as foreign actors (countries) . It is well documented that media play a role in the perception of fear of crime and foreigners. In our research which encompasses more than 1000 repondents, we have concentrated on how people view or describe foreign nationals, how that transcribes into fear of crime and also into fear of the foreign actor. Moreover, we have also concentrated on how these perceptions and stereotypes influence people's behaviour.
