V originále

Family businesses are large, medium-sized, using modern technology and trends. In contrast, there are small craft family businesses, family workshops, family trades and families preserving traditions and bearers of traditions that pass them on to future generations. In exceptional cases, some processes, processes and production have remained unchanged for centuries. These may be part of the intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO. They are registered in the Lists of Intangible Cultural Heritage and the Register of good safeguarding practices (hereinafter as the List). Centuries of traditional techniques have been used by artisans in their work. These techniques are registered on the List either in connection with a specific family company that uses them and with a specific country, or the technique itself is on the List, without association with a specific company that uses it, but with an association with a specific country and entity that is its carrier. If these elements are used by entities in several countries, then in the List the element is registered for each of the countries that use the element as the intangible cultural heritage of each particular country. The paper is a pilot in the research of family businesses and intangible cultural heritage. Currently (August 2021) 584 elements are entered on the List in relation to 131 countries. The Czech Republic is represented by seven elements. Two techniques / elements (blueprint and bead ornaments) are used by three family businesses. Blueprint is produced by two family companies and bead ornaments are produced by one family company.
