Publikace Obchodní závazky reaguje na nové uspořádání úpravy závazků po rekodifikaci soukromého práva, která právní úpravu závazkového práva sjednotila v občanském zákoníku, a soustředí se především na zvláštnosti vztahů, kterých se účastní podnikatelé. Cílem autorského kolektivu nebylo nově vymezovat hranice právní regulace závazků nebo nahrazovat komentáře právních předpisů, ale napomoci řádné interpretaci a aplikaci závazkového práva nejen právníky, ale i studenty vysokých škol a případně i právními laiky.

The publication Commercial Obligations responds to the new arrangement of the regulation of obligations after the recodification of private law, which unified the legal regulation of obligation law in the Civil Code, and focuses mainly on the peculiarities of relations in which entrepreneurs participate. The aim of the author's team was not to redefine the boundaries of legal regulation of obligations or to replace comments on legal regulations, but to help the proper interpretation and application of the law of obligations not only by lawyers but also university students and possibly legal lay people.
