However, as the shared economy is closely linked to the digital economy, all sectors will be affected to some extent by this trend. The impact on industrial manufacturers will be that when people share, for example, cars or garden tools, their sales and production will be reduced. Manufacturers will thus have to offer their customers something extra and thus connect more closely with the service sector. They may even offer some form of shared platforms themselves. Furthermore, the importance of intermediaries and intermediaries, who usually add almost no value to the final product, will be significantly reduced - supply chains will be more integrated and relationships between sellers and buyers will be more direct. Even with truly purely manufacturing companies, we cannot be sure that they will be able to afford to leave everything, because they will have to increase flexibility and shorten delivery times precisely because of the growth of SEs and the possible active involvement of competitors. Another important factor is the relationship between shared economy and innovation. Innovation is no longer just about scientific discovery, research and development. The future is at least in business and commerce - much more in unscientific innovations, in the innovation of existing business models. This can be illustrated by the example of low-cost airlines using virtually the same aircraft, the same airports, the same equipment as large airlines, but radically modernizing their business model, and that was the basis of their success. This is exactly what we can find in a shared economy - the way its businesses operate, the way they organize their business, the way they serve existing customer needs in a new, different way. In addition, we can see that they have been able to find new customer needs or start using untapped resources. And that could inspire us all in business. It follows from the above that there is a need to focus more on SE in the academic environment. Developments need to be monitored in detail and comprehensively. Recent trends show that SE is affecting and will become even more dominant in the economies of most economies in the future. Thinking is - and now cannot be estimated - where SE will develop. During the massive development, this would have a major impact, especially on the producers of tangible goods, where the number of goods produced may drop significantly. The decline in this production output affects the amount of sales and thus the overall economic results of companies. Based on the presented article, it can at least be stated that in order to remain competitive, these manufacturers must reconsider their strategies for the future and monitor the development of SE and respond to it (adapt). Time will tell if this is the right way. ER -
