Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The student can describe the basic theoretical concepts of criminology, subject and system of criminalistics, forensic footprint concept and identification. Understand the essence of forensic traces; can classify forensic traces; understand the forensic identification. He knows the history of criminology, the beginnings of investigative techniques, institutions and personalities. Basic methods lead forensic science and practice. He is able to evaluate and apply basic forensic methods in investigations of crime. Master basic scientific methods of criminology.
Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course unit are the student's knowledge acquired at the oral exam.

1. Introduction to Criminology. 2. History of the World criminology, methods, institutions and personalities. 3. History of Czech criminology, methods, institutions and personalities. 4. Object, systems and methods of criminology. 5. Forensic characterization of the offense 6. The method of committing the crime. Components of the way the commission. 7. Criminological footprint, material footprint concept, classification forensic traces. 8. Criminological trace, memory trace. 9. Forensic identification, definition, types, methods. 10. Basic physical and scientific methods in criminology. 11. Basic biological methods in criminology. 12. Basic physico-chemical and chemical methods in criminology

The course is completed with verbal exam. Answer one of the 15 topic questions correctly is required to pass the exam.
