Cíle předmětu
After completing this course, students will understand the analysis of selected problems of international financial relations, with emphasis on functioning of global financial markets, external economic balance, exchange rate and balance of payments. Subject matter includes both the theoretical part and the empirical analysis.
Výstupy z učení
students will understand the analysis of selected problems of international financial and monetary relations.
Osnova
  • 1. Globalization of financial markets and its consequences. 2. External economic balance (alternative interpretations) and analysis of balance of payments. 3. Monetary theory of balance of payments (assumptions, balance, effects of devaluation) and functioning of economy with fixed exchange rate. 3. Monetary integration – dynamics of different groups of economies and convergence. Euro and debt crisis in the euro area. 5. Exchange rate dynamics (theoretical background and practical context) 6. Selected current issues of the international finance (global financial crisis, environment of very low interest rates).

Výukové metody
The course consists of lectures in full-time studies and group consultations in part-time studies. Discussion of pre-studied texts is part of the course. Students who will fail to meet the requirements for participation in education may be given during the semester additional study obligations (to the extent that demonstrates academic achievement and gained competencies necessary for successful completion of course).
Metody hodnocení
Course is completed by doctoral examination. The examination takes the form of a debate over the final work. Termination is the same for full-time and part-time study.
