The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Writing a diploma thesis demonstrates the mastery of the theoretical foundations and the logical structuring of ideas in the field of economics and management. The aim of the course is to guide the students to prepare the whole theoretical part of their research including seting the relevant methods and hypotheses.
Learning outcomes
Student should understand and meet all necessary requirements set by the thesis supervisor and submit the theoretical part of the diploma thesis to the thesis archive on time.
Syllabus
    • The choice of the methods of the thesis (literature review, hypotheses vs research questions, using case studies, empirical research, etc.) according to the outline approved.
    • Gathering the relevant literature and data sources, reding and reviewing the literature.
    • Formulation of the objective and the hypotheses and their possible testing

Teaching methods
To support and monitor each student's individual progress there are at least 4 individual consultations with the supervisor of the diploma thesis either in person or by email or MS Teams.
Assessment methods
The course is completed with a credit granted, based on: 1) meeting the requirements regarding the consultation plan 2) completion and submiting of the text of the theoretical part of the diploma thesis on time.
