Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The student can prepare a qualifying Diploma Thesis Assignment (QT, DT, DP) and Introduction to the DP. At the end of the course, the student will be ready to prepare a Diploma Thesis in the follow-up subject Diploma Project FIB 1. During the course of the course, students will be guided in a seminar format to respect author's ethics and the quality of creative scientific and professional work. The excursion in the VŠFS library will focus on the effective search for information sources.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the student should be able : • to create the Assignment of diploma qualifying thesis • to work with literature and references in the right way • to write academic texts in accordance with the ethics rules of scientific work • to create the Introduction to diploma qualifying thesis.

Teaching methods
Seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study.
Assessment methods
The course is completed with a credit based on handing in the Assignment of diploma qualifying project and the basic text of the Introduction. The management of the faculty can set further conditions for awarding a credit. The credit can be awarded exclusively by the teacher of the subject, not by the supervisor of the diploma project.
