Course objectives
After study of this course student will be able to present theoretical and practical approaches to the preparation and use of the development strategies and development projects on local, regional and national level. Student will be able to define main development problems of municipalities and regions in the European Union member states and to define main tools of the solutions of these problems.

  • 1. PRINCIPAL FEATURES OF DEMOCRATIC STATE REGIONAL POLICY 2. STAGES OF REGIONAL POLICY DEVELOPMENT 3. RURAL AREAS AND THEIR POSITION IN CONTEMPORARY REGIONAL POLICY OF DEMOCRATIC STATES 4. REMARKS TO INNER PERIPHERIES SPECIFIC FEATURES ROLE IN REGIONAL POLICY 5. KEY ASPECTS AND TASKS OF CONTEMPORY REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES 6. Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study. Students that aren´t present in the above dedicated number of lectures and seninars will receive and extra obligations with the objectif to show the knowledge of the course.
Assessment methods
The course is completed with a credit. Credit attests the accomplishment of the study obligations. To receive a credit is based on the written test where the students have to receive at least 60% of the points.
