The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to give a comprehensive description of the regional development system and regional policies and to recognize the processes that take place in regional development. Furthermore, the subject deals with regional policy instruments and discusses them in detail.
Learning outcomes
Students will acquire knowledge of regional development and formation of regional policy strategies and implementation of programs of regional development support at all territorial levels (state, region, municipality). It will also be ready to participate actively in regional analyzes and project development.

Teaching methods
Lectures and seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study. Students that aren´t present in the above dedicated number of lectures and seninars will receive and extra obligations with the objectif to show the knowledge of the course.
Assessment methods
The course is completed with a credit and verbal exam. A specific written study (50% points min) id part-time study and presentation in full time study is required to award the credit. Answer oral questions correctly is required to pass the exam.
