The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain a basics of modern approaches, theories, trends and current models of personal work based on knowledge of the labor market opportunities. The emphasis is on deciding on the need, specialization and experience of staff, managing activities such as acquisition, selection, adaptation and termination. Focus is also on the principles and methods of performance appraisal, rewards, training and overall development of employees. Students are also taught the responsibility and role of managers and HR staff in the personnel management process, employee care and development of appropriate staff relations in a company.

Teaching methods
The course is delivered in 12 lectures (90 mins.) in full-time study and 4 tutorials (90 mins.) in part-time study; compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study.
Assessment methods
The subject is completed by exam. Credit is based on active in-class participation and two assignments completion. Examination is multiple choice test.
