Course objectives
Mastering the overall issue of risk management in the company, outline history and explanation of the broader context of risk. Clarification of risk management processes and their links to business processes particularly strategic and operational controlling. Internal and external risks (detailed analysis of key risks). Classification of risks. Analysis and risk assessment. Risk mitigation and its methods. Interpretation of the organization's risk management businesses (including the differences between small, medium and large enterprises). After completing the course the student will learn fundamental issues of risk management in the system, particularly the issue of identification, analysis, and implementation of risk management in the context of whole system of management
Syllabus
  • 1.Introduction to risks in business and management. Historical context and overall risk management with business management. 2.Process model management and its links to risk management. Control, management and control of risks. Links to controlling risk management (especially on strategic and operational controlling) . The system view on risk management. 3.The risk management process and its phases. Options structuring the process of risk management models used in the Czech Republic, in the corporate and public sectors. 4.The Internal risks in the enterprise. Risks owner, statutory and executive management. Strategic risks and operational risks. Risk of loss of image. Financial risks. Commercial risks. Risk information system, communication technology and competitive intelligence. Risks receivables, projects, natural and ecological risks. The risk of leakage of intellectual property. Risk of "tunneling" (asset stripping) . 5. The External (outsourced) risks. Bank of risk, insurance risk, market securities. Customer - supplier risk. Political risks. Risk of technological progress. Risks industry . Global risk. The risks of corruption. Resolution on the risks of so-called soft (marketing, human resources,innovation ),and hard risks (financial and business), their relationship to short-term and long-term plans and company operations. 6.Tte Systemic risk classification. Teaching methods
Teaching takes the form / lectures / seminars / workshops / full-time study / group consultations and managed in the form of study. Minimum mandatory attendance at seminars / workshops in full-time studies is 75%, the controlled group consultations in combined form 50%. Students who fail to meet the mandatory level of participation may be given during the semester additional study obligations (to the extent that will demonstrate academic achievement and acquired competencies necessary for successful completion of course).
Assessment methods
The course ends with an examination which precedes the granting of credit. The condition for granting credit is an active participation in seminars min 80%. (The absence the student teacher may be stored develop additional essay.) Essay and papers by entering their presentations at the seminar. The exam consists of a written test, which is followed by an oral examination
