Course objectives
The course objective is that the student is able to create and draft the Assignment of the Bachelor´s Thesis (BT) and the Introduction to the Bachelor´s Thesis. The student will be ready to work under the guidance of his/her Thesis leader to meet the requirements of the subjects Bachelor Project 1/ 2. During the course in seminar classes students will be taught to respect the author’s ethics, the methodology and methods as well as the quotations principles of creative scientific work on the tertiary education level standard.

  • 1. The importance of the Bachelor Thesis, structure of it, Theme selection, rules of working out the Assignment of the Bachelor´s Thesis
  • 2. Principles and procedure of working out the Introduction to the Bachelor´s Thesis
  • 3. Information sources and working with professional texts
  • 4. The methodology and methods of professional work, how to create texts of BT
  • 5. Forms of BT, author´s ethics and quotations principles, references and citations
  • 6. Conclusion of BT, completing BT and defending BT

Teaching methods
Seminars in full-time study; tutorials in part-time study; compulsory seminar participation is 75% in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50% in part-time study.
Assessment methods
The course is completed with a credit based on handing in the Assignment of bachelor project and the basic text of the Introduction. The management of the faculty can set further conditions for awarding a credit. The credit can be awarded exclusively by the teacher of the subject, not by the supervisor of the Bachelor project.
