The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
After completing this course the student will understand the analysis of selected aspects of the development of the economy as a whole in the short and long run in the intellectual tradition of neoclassical and Keynesian economics with an emphasis on the role of money, the exchange rate and balance of payments.
Syllabus
  • origins of modern macroeconomics and its current schools; quantity theory of money, financial instability hypothesis; demand for money and its genesis, exogenous and endogenous concept, portfolio theory; aggregate demand in an open economy; characteristic of the monetarist concept of balance of payments; selected parts of the macroeconomic analysis (budget system, monetary aggregates and other).

Teaching methods
The course consists of lectures in full-time studies and group consultations in part-time studies. Dominates discussion of pre-studied texts. Students who will fail to meet the requirements for participation in education may be given during the semester additional study obligations (to the extent that demonstrates academic achievement and gained competencies necessary for successful completion of course).
Assessment methods
Course is completed doctoral examination. The examination takes the form of a debate over the final work. Termination is the same for full-time and part-time study.
