The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The course objective is that the student is able to create and draft the Assignment of the Bachelor´s Thesis (BT) and the Introduction to the Bachelor´s Thesis. The student will be ready to work under the guidance of his/her Thesis leader to meet the requirements of the subjects Bachelor Project 1/ 2. During the course in seminar classes students will be taught to respect the author’s ethics, the methodology and methods as well as the quotations principles of creative scientific work on the tertiary education level standard.
Syllabus
  • 1. The importance of the Bachelor Thesis (structure, theme selection, rules of working), the Assignment of the Bachelor´s Thesis 2. Principles and procedures of working out the Introduction to the Bachelor´s Thesis 3. Information sources and working with professional texts 4. The methodology and methods, how to create texts of BT. Language style and specific wording 5. Forms of BT, author´s ethics and quotations principles, references and citations 6. Conclusion of BT, completing and defending BT (how to present findings)

Interactive lectures + focused discussions/presentations during seminars. 6 seminars for full-time students. Minimal seminar participation - 75%. Tutorials for part-time students. Minimal tutorial participation - 50%.
