Course objectives
To familiarize students with the content and scope of forensic psychology, psychiatry and sexuology and its use in forensic practice
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
Present an insight into the dynamics between the individual and the society within the field of forensic psychology, psychiatry and sexuology,
Realize how different aspects of forensic psychology, psychiatry and sexuology combine in terms of offenders, victims, family and professionals,
Recognize ethical aspects of forensic psychology, psychiatry and sexuology.

  • 1. Introduction into the field of forensic psychology,psychiatry and sexuology
  • 2. Social and psychological aspects of crime
  • 3. Basics of general and developmental psychology in relation to forensic psychology, psychiatry and sexuology.
  • 4. Theory of aggression, aggressive behaviour and deliquency
  • 5. General psychopathology
  • 6. Criminal psychopathology
  • 7. Offender personality, personality disorders
  • 8. Special psychiatry
  • 9. Drug and alcohol abuse
  • 10. Legal sexuology
  • 11. Victimology, prevention of criminality
  • 12. Ethical aspecis of psychology, psychiatry and sexuology and judiciary expertise.

Assessment methods
To receive credit - attendance at seminars, completion of essay. If the presence at the seminars is less than 65%, then the student is obliged to hand in another esej. Absence due to illness is not counted.

To receive grade - multiple choice test, which consists of 50 questions
