The requirement for the completion of this course is completion of the course B_UNX.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The goal is that at the end of the course students understand issue UNIX systems administration and basic configuration of computer networks. Get an overview and practice to perform routine administration tasks.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course students will:
- understand the issue of UNIX-like systems management
- be able to set up the basics of computer networks
- have a general overview and practice in performing routine administrative tasks

  • Third user Management
  • 4th Kernel, system startup, normal service
  • 5th Logging, software installation, updates
  • 6th Meshing - Basic Settings
  • 7th Security services, firewall
  • 8th Domain Name Service
  • 9th E-mail
  • 10th web server

Teaching methods
Type of teaching: Teaching is through exercises
The scope of compulsory participation in education: attendance is voluntary
Teaching administration system will run on Linux/BSD, as well as teaching network settings. The entry requirement is a basic knowledge of UNIX (login, the basics shell access rights, editing text files, regular expressions) and networks (Ethernet, IP addresses and routing protocols, a TCP / IP (DNS, SMTP, HTTP)).

Course completion: Credits are awarded for successful completion of the final test
