Course objectives
The student is able to elaborate the Diploma Thesis (DP) and DP Purposes. At the end of the course, student will be ready to prepare his / her diploma thesis and gain knowledge in the following credit: Diploma Project 1 and 2. During the course, students will be guided by seminar form to adherence to authorship ethics and to the quality of creative scientific and professional work. Continuous content of the exercises will explain the difference in qualitative and quantitative differences of diploma thesis and bachelor thesis.
Learning outcomes
The diploma seminar is devoted to the theoretical and practical mastering of the basic phases of the writing and construction of a specialized text - diploma thesis, which is the final work of the student and whose surrender is a prerequisite for admission to the state final examination. Students will be able to clarify the basic rules of job creation - selection and processing of topics, structure of the construction of a text, its structure, definition and formulation of the objectives of the work, introduction of the introduction, rules for the division of the work into specialized chapters and sub-chapters; reminder of research methods; stylistics of own professional work, its logic and causality; assessing the achievement of the objectives of the work and drawing conclusions. A special emphasis will also be placed on the formal demands of the expert text, the work with the references of the sources, the bibliographic references, the notes, the attachments, the classifications and the list of used literature. The content of the seminar will focus on the independent work with documents, in which the student will acquire the required knowledge and skills in a practical way.

Teaching methods
Seminars in full-time study, tutorials in part-time study. Compulsory seminar participation is 75 % in full-time study, compulsory tutorial participation is 50 % in part-time study.
Assessment methods
The course is finished by the credit of the basic text of the DP Purpose (see Methodological Instruction of the Final Work). The credit is awarded exclusively by the teacher teaching the subject of the Diploma Seminar, not the head of the diploma thesis.
