- Course objectives
- Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to build the knowledge base in the field of management (management) and balanced leadership from a relatively wide point of view so that the student is well equipped for the subsequent - more specialized - subjects of the studied field.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of this course the student will have the following professional knowledge. He will be able to: define, understand and understand the nature and meaning of management, to introduce the notion of management by management science in its developmental phases, explain and justify why management is necessary for all kinds of organizations, to clarify why control requires a system approach, to specify management functions / processes, to define the advantages and disadvantages of individual organizational structures, based on the variability of economic reality define the reason for change management and approaches to change management, explain the benefits of CRM's approach and philosophy, to explain the continuity of the concept of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility, the importance of adhering to ethics in the business environment, explain the difference between process and project management, to explain the concept of innovation related to the competitiveness of the company, to be able to describe specific corporate activities and activities within the Model of Innovative Management, the trend of lean entrepreneurship, understand the principles of development and achievement of leadership balance, Develop a Personal Development Plan to improve basic managerial skills. During the course the student acquires the following professional skills. He will be able to: to work with information sources, to analyze acquired data and to set targets for individual managerial activities, to develop the timeline of the development stages of the management, look for examples of good practice, the benefits of successful managers for organizational development, to design an effective organizational structure for a particular business, search for 3 CRM software to define their advantage introduce the principles of CSR, propose a project for CSR implementation at VŠFS, to specify the term Industry 4.0 and its impacts on individual business units, Perform self-assessment of managerial skills - such as the ability to delegate, in the personal development plan to record one area in which the student wants to improve. Develop a timeline of work on self improvement, to draw up a roadmap for an effective consultation.

- 1. Management, basic managerial functions (decision making, planning, implementation, organization, leadership, motivation, control and its forms, communication, etc.). 2. Historical roots of management. Managerial approaches applied during the life of modern management. 3. Management processes: planning, organization. 4. Management processes: employee motivation and remuneration, control activities. 5. Contemporary managerial approaches, CRM, change management, lean management. 6. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Ethics in Business. 7. Project and process management. 8. Innovation, innovation management, innovation activity. 9. Production and Logistics Processes in Business - Digitization, Automation, Robotics, Intelligent Factory. 10. Managerial Skills Development - Time Management, Active Listening, Dialogue Management, Delegation, and Feedback 11. Basic principles of balanced leadership, management styles, self-management. Personal development plan. 12. Managing workshops.

- Teaching methods
- Lectures will usually include a lecture (theory, new knowledge including practical examples) and a practical part (case study). Part of the lecture can be filled with self-assessment questionnaires, discussion on the topic, group work, etc. It will include the assignment of home preparation tasks for the next lesson. The exercises will be focused on learning to learn through their own judgment, based on economic and critical thinking oriented towards entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship, creativity, creativity, presentation and communication, active attitude to the world, open access to new forms of management. Emphasis will be placed not on accurate thinking based on verified qualitative and quantitative data, on the ability to work with information, with trend information and presentation systems. Management will be presented on a scientific basis as a sequence of interconnected projects and processes. Combined study will take place in the form of a controlled consultation where, in addition to a condensed presentation of the topic, a previous self-study is also expected to allow for subsequent consultation.
- Assessment methods
- The subject is complted by credit. „z“ Daily attendance: Assignment of credit is subject to the obligation of active attendance min. 75% (ie not just attendance, but active participation in teaching, discussion, interaction, argumentation), fulfillment of homework tasks. Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes: Credit „z“ + oral exam (A,B,C,D,E,F). Credit: Locket of family business and evaluation of current activities. = Search for a family business in your native country. + 1. Part: Assemble its locket / story - history, business subject, timeline of development, the importance of the company for the city in which company is operating, excellence and know-how, .... + 2. Part: Evaluate current activities, tables you fill out (marketing, communication, IT, …).Oral exam: relevant discussion about your seminar paper. ISP students only - intermediate tasks, see IS Custostomized study plan (CSP) student requirements. Without the completion of intermediate tasks (this is only for CSP students due to their absence in courses, where other students work on current issue) and seminar paper the subject can not be successfully completed. Combined form: Assignment of the credit is bound to fulfill the obligation of active attendance in min. 50% participation in managed consultations (but not just attendance, but active participation in teaching, discussion, interaction, argumentation). Credit „z“ + oral exam (A,B,C,D,E). The prerequisite for the oral exam is a seminar paper, scored "z" - means accepted. Credit: Locket of family business and evaluation of current activities. = Search for a family business in your native country. + 1. Part: Assemble its locket / story - history, business subject, timeline of development, the importance of the company for the city in which company is operating, excellence and know-how, .... + 2. There are no prerequisites for this course, however, mastering the basics of business environment and the business relations are expected. In both full and part-time study forms each topic will be mostly presented (in detailed or condensed form – according to the type of study) in PPT presentations, followed by an interactive discussion. Presentation materials used within lecture will be available for students of the course in IS (file of the course).
