- Cíle předmětu
- Introduce students to current issues of managerial culture, managerial ethics and corporate social responsibility. Characterize the position and role of managers, explain the importance of managerial ethics. Explain the importance of corporate social responsibility. Analyze the specifics of the national and corporate culture of multinational organizations, global processes.
- Výstupy z učení
- Students who successfully complete the course: 1. they will orient themselves in basic terms from all three areas, e.g. – definition of the term organizational culture, elements of organizational culture, typology of companies, etc. 2. they will be able to explain the connection between company culture and company strategy, the relationship between morals and ethics, identify key areas of SOF. 3. they will be able to argue on the topic of the advantages of applying ethical and socially responsible behavior of the company, point out possible pitfalls in this area. 4. they will know how to make changes in management culture, how to draw up a code of ethics and how to evaluate SOF. 5. they will be able to discuss the topic of ethical leadership and its contribution to the company, the manager's influence on the organizational culture.

- Syllabus of lectures: 1. Organizational culture. Concept of culture, organizational culture, elements and structure of organizational culture. Schein's model. 2. Organizational culture (continued). The content, power and resources of organizational culture. The emergence and development of organizational culture. Organizational culture and strategy. Organizational culture and performance. 3. Typology of organizational culture. Typology of organizational culture, formulated in relation to organizational structure. Typology formulated in relation to environmental influence. 4. Typology of organizational culture (continued). Typology in relation to the stage of organizational development. A typology formulated in relation to organizational behavior. 5. Formation and change of organizational culture. Types and models of organizational culture change. Analysis of organizational culture as a starting point for organizational culture change. 6. Formation and change of organizational culture (continued). Implementation and evaluation of organizational culture change. Tools for shaping organizational culture change. The role of management in shaping and changing organizational culture. 7. Managerial and business ethics in the market economy. Characteristics and development of business ethics. - Výukové metody
- Lectures, exercises and case studies in the standard form of study, lectures and concrete examples from practice in the combined form of study. Each topic will be presented by the teacher using a PPT presentation followed by a student discussion on the given topic. The minimum mandatory participation in the full-time form of study is 75%, in the combined form of study 50%. Students who do not meet the mandatory scope of participation may be assigned additional study obligations (e.g. a wider scope of mandatory seminar work)
- Metody hodnocení
- The course ends with credit. The condition is the successful defense of written and accepted seminar paper.
