Course objectives
Course objectives: The course is established for beginners or false beginners. At the end of the course learners should be able to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. They can introduce theirselves and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where they live, people they know and things they have. They can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and are prepared to help. Basic grammar has to be explained: nouns´and pronouns´ declension, word order in clauses, negation. Learners are prepared to gradually achieve the level of A1 by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, respectively A2 by false beginners.

The definite and indefinite articles. Subject pronouns. The present indicative of ser. Numbers 0-39. 7-9.El viaje de negocios. The present indicative of regular ar - verbs. Interrogative and negative sentences. 10-12. Travelling by plane. Arriving in a foreign country. Uses of hay. Telling time. Cardinal numbers 300-1000. 13-15. En dos aeropuertos mexicanos. Making plane reservations. Agreement of articles, nouns, and adjectives. Possession with de. 16-18. Dealing with immigration officers and custom inspectors. Exchanging dollars for foreign currencies. The present indicative of regular - er and ir verbs. 19-21. En el hotel: making hotel reservation. The irregular verbs ir, dar, and estar. Ir a + inf. 22-24. Teaching methods
Seminars in both types of study (full-time students and part-time students). The explanation of grammar and vocabulary items will be immediately followed by practical exercises - individual work, work in pairs, group work. Special focus will be given to the evaluation of students' progress.
Assessment methods
Assessment 1. Obligatory active participation in seminars: 75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students. 2. Apart from the obligatory active participation in the seminars, the students will sit a written test at the end of the course which will be a precondition for gaining the CREDITS. 3.Additional study obligations: in case the student has the seminar attendance between 40-70 % (full time students), resp. between 4-6 lessons (part-time students) he/she will have to pass PRE-CREDIT TEST in the extent sufficiently proving their compentences necessary for successful completion of the subject. Only then he/she can prepare his/her presentation to get the CREDITS = Z. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet additional study obligations and he/she will be assessed as "Failed" = NNN.
