Prerequisites
Successful completion of a bachelor's study programme, mastering the target language (both general and professional) at the level of B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Course objectives
Course objectives: 1.Mastering professional and technical English language. 2.Systematic improvement of knowledge, skills and language habits from the viewpoint of language tools (phonetics, orthography, vocabulary and grammar) as well as language functions (both receptive and productive skills). 3.Semantic and functional focus: monitoring general English language topis (authentic language presentation) + key professional English language topics (mastering presentation of economic and marketing English topics fluently and spontaneously, including the ability to explain details and express conclusions, ideas and views. The key topis are pricing, logistics and the distribution chain, mechandising, trade shows, telemarketing, and online shopping and mail order. The course objectives are valid for part-time students as well.

Teaching methods
Interactive seminars in both types of study (full-time students and part-time students. Obligatory participation in interactive seminars: 75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students. Students who were not able to attend the seminars in the required percentage could be asked to work out additional tasks in the extent sufficiently proving their compentences necessary for successful completion of the subject.
Assessment methods
Assessment: The subject is assessed based on the student's results in the graded credit test. It testifies to the fulfillment of study obligations. Specification of requirements to obtain the credit: 1. Obligatory participation in lessons (75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students). 2. Graded credit test - the students will be evaluated as follows: No. of points/grade/assessment - 92 - 100 A excellent; 84 - 91 B excellent minus; 76 - 83 C very good; 68 - 75 D very good minus; 60 - 67 E good; less than 60 F failed. 3. Additional study obligations: in case the student has the seminar attendance between 40-70 % (full time students), resp. between 4-6 lessons (part-time students) and between 6-10 lessons for AAJ subjects he/she will have to pass PRE-CREDIT TEST. Only then he/she can sit for the CREDIT TEST. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet additional study obligations and he/she will be assessed as "Failed - FFF".
