The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The graduate of this course will be able to understand the basic principles of management in public administration and the reasons for the introduction of modern management methods in the activities of public administration. It also will focus on specific areas of management of public administration: personnel management, quality management, project management, crisis management, regional management.

  • 1. Management general principles 2. Main stages of management approaches development and key representatives of management schools 3. Main differences between management in the private and the public sectors 4.Public administration organizational structure,competences and tasks of its subjects 5.Contribution of public administration reforms to the modern management approaches application 6. Management approaches in the Public Governance conception 7. Selected management approaches application in contemporary public administration 8. Personal management principles implementation in public administration 9. Strategic plaining role in public administration management 10. Elected representatives and oficials education and training contribution to management principles in public administration implementation 11.Management approaches application in German and French public administration 12.Management principles implementation in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and in the U.S.A. public administration

Teaching methods
Teaching consists of lectures and seminars in the combined form of study through directed group consultations The scope of compulsory participation in education: minimum mandatory participation in a seminar in full-time studies is 75%, the controlled group consultations in the combined form of study of at least 50%. Students who fail to meet the mandatory level of participation may be given during the semester additional study requirements.
Assessment methods
Written test - 50 per cent as minimum, oral examination.
