Cíle předmětu
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- understand the principles of operational management of an enterprise;
- understand the importance of company's ownership and capital structure for financial decision making
- understand the relations between planning, production volume, costs and profit
- explain a definition of the operational and strategic planning in a company
- acquire knowledge of the individual steps in financial planning
- understand the supply process in a company
Výstupy z učení
Students will be able to understand/calculate each of the following terms: • overview of financial management • provide a general framework for studying the field of corporate finance. • develop a definition of financial management and explore each element of the definition in detail. • functions and primary goal of financial analysis and its methods how they evaluate the financial performance of the company. • position of financial managers which attempt to achieve wealth maximization through daily activities such as credit and inventory management and through longer-term decisions related to raising funds. • different methods of financial evaluation of the company and their usage in practice.

Výukové metody
PS: (full time students)
Classes for present studies will be split into theoretical and practical part: 2 hours per week of lectures and 1 hour per week of seminars (2/1). Students should attend 75% of seminars as a minimum.

KS: (part time students)
5 seminars (90 min each); students should attend 50% of seminars as a minimum.
Metody hodnocení
Credit:
- seminar paper in given subject
- written credit test in selected subjects (60 % points min).

Exam:
- credit is needed before registering for the exam
- pre-exam: written test, if successful the grade can be used as exam classification
- oral examination covering the scope of the course.
