- Course objectives
- Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to provide students with high quality and specialized information that is fully usable in their future activities. To provide students with basic information about Europol and Interpol, their activities and tasks. To equip graduates with knowledge of structure, basic concepts, history of international police cooperation, international police cooperation in the Czech legal order. Meetings with the National Interpol Center and its activities will receive information on the establishment and operation of the European Anti-Fraud Office, CEPOL - the main objectives of the European Police College, its structure. Definition of terms and description of the three basic components: the central database, the national information system and the SIRENE system.

- Learning outcomes of the course unit are the student's knowledge acquired at the oral exam.
- Syllabus
- 1. Introduction to international police cooperation - basic concepts, history of international police cooperation, international police cooperation in the Czech legal order 2. Interpol, its origins, development and goals - Students will be acquainted with the historical development of Interpol, its aims and funding. 3. Interpol Organizational Structure - Detailed description of the six main parts of Interpol and their functions 4. Interpol's action and its means of cooperation - Interpol divides its competence into six priority areas of crime: drugs and criminal organizations, financial and high-tech crimes, escapees, trafficking in human beings, corruption and public security, terrorism. 5. National Interpol Center - Getting to know the National Interpol Center and its activities 6. Europol, its origin, development and structure 7. Joint Investigation Teams - A description of the role of joint investigation teams as operational cooperation units 8. OLAF - establishment and function of the European Anti-Fraud Office 9. CEPOL - the main objectives of the European Police College, its structure 10. FRONTEX, SitCen and EU Counter-Terrorism Coordinator - the main tasks of the Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders of the EU Member States, Clarification of Concepts and Definition of SitCen Activities and the Counter-Terrorism Coordinator 11. Europeanization of Criminal Law - Excursion to the Development of Judicial Cooperation in Criminal Matters 12. Schengen Information System (SIS) - definition of concepts and description of three basic components: the central database, the national information system and the SIRENE system
