The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
One of the core subjects of the field of study. It builds on and further develops knowledge from previous courses such as Regional Development and Regional Policy 1 and Regional Development and Regional Policy 2, Socioeconomic and Administrative Geography, Management of Municipalities, Cities and Regions, Regional and Municipal Economy, etc. The course focuses on the system of regional development and regional policy of the Czech Republic and to learn about the processes taking place in regional development in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the subject deals with regional problems and supported regions in the Czech Republic. The student will gain detailed knowledge of the functioning of the regional policy of the Czech Republic. At the same time, he will be ready to actively participate in the formulation and concepts and strategies of regional policy and the implementation of regional development support programs in the Czech Republic.
Learning outcomes
The student will acquire knowledge of the functioning of the Czech regional policy and awareness of the characteristics of the regions (kraj) of the Czech Republic. At the same time, he will be ready to actively participate in analyses, formation of regional policy strategies and implementation of regional development support programs at all territorial levels (state, region, municipality). A significant skill will be the ability to use selected tools of an economic nature. He will be able to use acquired skills in a qualified manner in the creation of projects and programs for drawing from  Eurofunds and various Czech funds and supports.

Teaching methods
Teaching takes place in the form of lectures and seminars in the full-time form of study and in the form of guided group consultations in the combined form of study. In the combined form of study, the subject is taught by distance learning. Extent of compulsory participation in teaching: The minimum compulsory participation in the seminar in the full-time form of study is 75%, in guided group consultations in the combined form of study 50%. Students who do not meet the mandatory scope of participation may be assigned additional study obligations during the semester (to the extent that will allow to prove study results and acquired competencies necessary for successful completion of the course).
Assessment methods
The course ends with an exam and credit.
