- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- Mastering professional language and its practical use is the main objective of the course with a special focus on lexical and phraseological units in professional and technical English, deeper fixing of grammar structures, comprehension of spoken language, both direct and recorded, and communication in business environment and improvement in written English. The course is based on the concept of teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) according to the latest methods focused on the interactivity and interdependence of all language skills. With the help of detailed interactive electronic curricula, uploaded to the intranet of the internal information system with remote access, the course helps students in autonomous learning, and allows deeper learning in harmony with their own needs and possibilities, thus assisting not only self-directed but also self-determined learning based on the theory of heutagogy. Specific learning outcomes and thematic focus are defined below.
The course objectives apply to the part-time study programme as well. - Learning outcomes
- Students will demonstrate the acquisition of complex language skills and their ability to use terms, categories and concepts related to the following main topics of the course: making connections, international design, future lifestyles and heritage.
Students will be able to read, understand, analyse, and interpret professional texts. They will master the skills of having marketing-related conversations, i.e. topics such as product and service types, product life cycles, selling products and services and branding.
Last but not least, students will develop the habits of their own independent learning with the synchronous support provided by the teacher and interactive electronic syllabuses uploaded on the university intranet. Simultaneously, all the above helps further self-determining direction of individual students in their English language studies.

- Assessment methods
- 1 OBLIGATORY PARTICIPATION IN LESSONS
The extent of obligatory participation in lessons has been stipulated as follows: 75% applies in full-time study, 50% in part-time study programme.The subject is assessed based on the student's results in the Credit Test. The test testifies to the fulfilment of study obligations.
2 CREDIT TEST
Reaching the result of minimum 60 points out of 100 points (maximum) is the precondition to gain the credit. The student is entitled to one regular attempt (sit) and further resits to pass the Credit Test with the lecturer assigned to him.
Note: The students who will be convicted of fundamental violation of the Study and Examination Code while writing the Credit Test (namely the forbidden use of mobile phones, spy pen cameras etc.) will get the remark “fraud incident“ into the notepad (i.e. the loss of one attempt).
3 INSUFFICIENT ATTENDANCE In case of insufficient attendance between 75-40%, the assessment “administrative - “ will be entered into the IS and the person concerned automatically loses one attempt to sit the test. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet the minimum required study obligations and the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows: “absolutely insufficient attendance“ and the student will be entitled to one sit only.
4 STUDENTS WITH INDIVIDUAL STUDY PLAN The students with the approved Individual Study Plan (ISP) are obliged to get in touch with their lecturer in three weeks’ time since the beginning of the term at the very latest in order to agree alternative ways of fulfilling their study obligations due to optional attendance. In case the student verifiably neglects this obligation, the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows "non-contact ISP" and the student will lose one sit to pass the test. The students who were given the status of ISP on the course of the running term are obliged to contact lecturer assigned to them in 14 days at the very latest. - Language of instruction

- 1 OBLIGATORY PARTICIPATION IN LESSONS
The extent of obligatory participation in lessons has been stipulated as follows: 75% applies in full-time study, 50% in part-time study programme.The subject is assessed based on the student's results in the Credit Test. The test testifies to the fulfilment of study obligations.
2 CREDIT TEST
Reaching the result of minimum 60 points out of 100 points (maximum) is the precondition to gain the credit. The student is entitled to one regular attempt (sit) and further resits to pass the Credit Test with the lecturer assigned to him.
Note: The students who will be convicted of fundamental violation of the Study and Examination Code while writing the Credit Test (namely the forbidden use of mobile phones, spy pen cameras etc.) will get the remark “fraud incident“ into the notepad (i.e. the loss of one attempt).
3 INSUFFICIENT ATTENDANCE In case of insufficient attendance between 75-40%, the assessment “administrative - “ will be entered into the IS and the person concerned automatically loses one attempt to sit the test. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet the minimum required study obligations and the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows: “absolutely insufficient attendance“ and the student will be entitled to one sit only.
4 STUDENTS WITH INDIVIDUAL STUDY PLAN The students with the approved Individual Study Plan (ISP) are obliged to get in touch with their lecturer in three weeks’ time since the beginning of the term at the very latest in order to agree alternative ways of fulfilling their study obligations due to optional attendance. In case the student verifiably neglects this obligation, the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows "non-contact ISP" and the student will lose one sit to pass the test. The students who were given the status of ISP on the course of the running term are obliged to contact lecturer assigned to them in 14 days at the very latest. - Language of instruction

- Course objectives
- Mastering professional language and its practical use is the main objective of the course with a special focus on lexical and phraseological units in professional and technical English, deeper fixing of grammar structures, comprehension of spoken language, both direct and recorded, and communication in business environment and improvement in written English. The course is based on the concept of teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) according to the latest methods focused on the interactivity and interdependence of all language skills. With the help of detailed interactive electronic curricula, uploaded to the intranet of the internal information system with remote access, the course helps students in autonomous learning, and allows deeper learning in harmony with their own needs and possibilities, thus assisting not only self-directed but also self-determined learning based on the theory of heutagogy. Specific learning outcomes and thematic focus are defined below.

- Students will demonstrate the acquisition of complex language skills and their ability to use terms, categories and concepts related to the following main topics of the course: making connections, international design, future lifestyles and heritage.
Students will be able to read, understand, analyse, and interpret professional texts. They will master the skills of having marketing-related conversations, i.e. topics such as product and service types, product life cycles, selling products and services and branding.
Last but not least, students will develop the habits of their own independent learning with the synchronous support provided by the teacher and interactive electronic syllabuses uploaded on the university intranet. Simultaneously, all the above helps further self-determining direction of individual students in their English language studies.

The extent of obligatory participation in lessons has been stipulated as follows: 75% applies in full-time study, 50% in part-time study programme.The subject is assessed based on the student's results in the Credit Test. The test testifies to the fulfilment of study obligations.
2 CREDIT TEST
Reaching the result of minimum 60 points out of 100 points (maximum) is the precondition to gain the credit. The student is entitled to one regular attempt (sit) and further resits to pass the Credit Test with the lecturer assigned to him.
Note: The students who will be convicted of fundamental violation of the Study and Examination Code while writing the Credit Test (namely the forbidden use of mobile phones, spy pen cameras etc.) will get the remark “fraud incident“ into the notepad (i.e. the loss of one attempt).
3 INSUFFICIENT ATTENDANCE In case of insufficient attendance between 75-40%, the assessment “administrative - “ will be entered into the IS and the person concerned automatically loses one attempt to sit the test. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet the minimum required study obligations and the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows: “absolutely insufficient attendance“ and the student will be entitled to one sit only.
4 STUDENTS WITH INDIVIDUAL STUDY PLAN The students with the approved Individual Study Plan (ISP) are obliged to get in touch with their lecturer in three weeks’ time since the beginning of the term at the very latest in order to agree alternative ways of fulfilling their study obligations due to optional attendance. In case the student verifiably neglects this obligation, the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows "non-contact ISP" and the student will lose one sit to pass the test. - Course objectives
- Mastering professional language and its practical use is the main objective of the course with a special focus on lexical and phraseological units in professional and technical English, deeper fixing of grammar structures, comprehension of spoken language, both direct and recorded, and communication in business environment and improvement in written English. The course is based on the concept of teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) according to the latest methods focused on the interactivity and interdependence of all language skills. With the help of detailed interactive electronic curricula, uploaded to the intranet of the internal information system with remote access, the course helps students in autonomous learning, and allows deeper learning in harmony with their own needs and possibilities, thus assisting not only self-directed but also self-determined learning based on the theory of heutagogy. Specific learning outcomes and thematic focus are defined below.
The course objectives apply to the part-time study programme as well. - Learning outcomes
- Students will demonstrate the acquisition of complex language skills and their ability to use terms, categories and concepts related to the following main topics of the course: making connections, international design, future lifestyles and heritage.
Students will be able to read, understand, analyse, and interpret professional texts. They will master the skills of having marketing-related conversations, i.e. topics such as product and service types, product life cycles, selling products and services and branding.
Last but not least, students will develop the habits of their own independent learning with the synchronous support provided by the teacher and interactive electronic syllabuses uploaded on the university intranet. Simultaneously, all the above helps further self-determining direction of individual students in their English language studies.

- 1 OBLIGATORY PARTICIPATION IN LESSONS
The extent of obligatory participation in lessons has been stipulated as follows: 75% applies in full-time study, 50% in part-time study programme.The subject is assessed based on the student's results in the Credit Test. The test testifies to the fulfilment of study obligations.
2 CREDIT TEST
Reaching the result of minimum 60 points out of 100 points (maximum) is the precondition to gain the credit. The student is entitled to one regular attempt (sit) and further resits to pass the Credit Test with the lecturer assigned to him.
Note: The students who will be convicted of fundamental violation of the Study and Examination Code while writing the Credit Test (namely the forbidden use of mobile phones, spy pen cameras etc.) will get the remark “fraud incident“ into the notepad (i.e. the loss of one attempt).
3 INSUFFICIENT ATTENDANCE In case of insufficient attendance between 75-40%, the assessment “administrative - “ will be entered into the IS and the person concerned automatically loses one attempt to sit the test. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet the minimum required study obligations and the credit rating to the notepad in IS reads as follows: “absolutely insufficient attendance“ and the student will be entitled to one sit only.
4 STUDENTS WITH INDIVIDUAL STUDY PLAN The students with the approved Individual Study Plan (ISP) are obliged to get in touch with their lecturer in three weeks’ time since the beginning of the term at the very latest in order to agree alternative ways of fulfilling their study obligations due to optional attendance. - The subject is assessed based on the student's results in the Credit Test. It testifies to the fulfilment of study obligations.
1 OBLIGATORY PARTICIPATION IN LESSONS
The extent of obligatory participation in lessons has been stipulated as follows: 75% applies to full-time students, and in the group instructor-led consultations in the part-time study programme it is stipulated at the level of 50%.
2 CREDIT TEST
Reaching the result of minimum 60 points out of 100 points (maximum) is the precondition to gain the credit. The student is entitled to one regular attempt and he/she can do two resits to pass the Credit Test with the lecturer assigned to him.
Note: The students who will be convicted of fundamental violation of the Study and Examination Code while writing the Credit Test (namely the forbidden use of mobile phones, spy pen cameras etc.) will automatically get the assessment “---“ (i.e. failed).
3 INSUFFICIENT ATTENDANCE
In case of insufficient attendance between 75-40%, the assessment “-“ will be entered into the IS and the person concerned automatically loses one attempt to sit the test. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet the minimum required study obligations and he/she will be assessed as failed “---". In such a case the student will have to transfer the subject into the following term/academic year, and following the purchase of the necessary credits he/she will have again three attempts to pass the subject (to write the test).
4 STUDENTS WITH INDIVIDUAL STUDY PLAN
The students with the approved Individual Study Plan (ISP) are obliged to get in touch with their lecturer in three weeks’ time at the very latest since the beginning of the term in order to agree alternative ways to fulfil their study obligations due to optional attendance. In case the student verifiably neglects this obligation, he/she will be assessed as failed and the code of “---“ will be entered into the IS. The students who were given the status of ISP on the course of the running term are obliged to contact their assigned lecturer in 14 days at the very latest. - Language of instruction

- Assessment 1. Obligatory active participation in seminars: 75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students. 2. Apart from the obligatory active participation in the seminars, the students will have to pass a written test at the end of the course which will be a precondition for gaining the CREDITS. - Úroveň A-vyšší: Cíle kurzu jsou zaměřeny na praktické uplatnění absolventa a sledují osvojení lexikálních jednotek, frazeologických vazeb ekonomického jazyka, fixaci gram. struktur, porozumění přímému i reprodukovanému projevu, práci s odborným textem a zdokonalení písemného projevu. - Výuka probíhá formou cvičení v prezenčním studiu a řízených skupinových konzultací v kombinovaném studiu. Rozsah povinné účasti ve výuce: Minimální povinná účast na cvičení / semináři v prezenčním studiu je 75%, na řízených skupinových konzultacích v kombinovaném studiu 50%. Studentům, kteří nesplní povinný rozsah účasti, mohou být v průběhu semestru zadány dodatečné studijní povinnosti (v míře, která umožní prokázat studijní výsledky a získané kompetence nezbytné pro úspěšné zakončení předmětu). Způsob zakončení předmětu: Předmět je zakončen klasifikovaným zápočtem. Zápočet osvědčuje splnění stanovených studijních povinností. SPECIFIKACE POŽADAVKŮ K ZÍSKÁNÍ KLASIFIKOVANÉHO ZÁPOČTU 1. POVINNÁ ÚČAST VE VÝUCE Na cvičeních je její rozsah v prezenčním studiu stanoven minimálně na 75%, na řízených skupinových konzultacích na 50%. 2. TEST NA KLASIFIKOVANÝ ZÁPOČET (CREDIT TEST) Student bude ohodnocen známkou na základě následující tabulky: Počet bodů Známka Hodnocení 92 - 100 A výborně 84 - 91 B výborně minus 76 - 83 C velmi dobře 68 - 75 D velmi dobře minus 60 - 67 E dobře méně než 60 F nevyhověl 3. DODATEČNÁ STUDIJNÍ POVINNOST V případě, že student bude mít účast mezi 40 a 75% (PS), resp. mezi 4- 6 vyuč.hodinami na KS (6-10 u předmětů AAJ) bude muset splnit PRE-CREDIT TEST. Teprve poté je dotyčný připuštěn k vlastnímu zápočtovému testu (CREDIT TEST). Účast pod 40% (včetně)na PS, resp. nedosahující 4 vyuč.hodin u KS (6 u předmětů B_AAJ) znamená nemožnost splnění dodatečné studijní povinnosti a hodnocení „nevyhověl“.

- Úroveň A-vyšší: Cíle kurzu jsou zaměřeny na praktické uplatnění absolventa a sledují osvojení lexikálních jednotek, frazeologických vazeb ekonomického jazyka, fixaci gram. struktur, porozumění přímému i reprodukovanému projevu, práci s odborným textem a zdokonalení písemného projevu. Nosnými tématy jsou informační technologie a jejich užití, firemní finance. Úroveň B: Cíle kurzu jsou zaměřeny na praktické uplatnění absolventa a sledují osvojení lexikálních jednotek, frazeologických vazeb ekon. jazyka, fixaci gram. struktur, porozumění přímému i reprodukovanému projevu, práci s odborným textem a zdokonalení písemného projevu. - Výuka probíhá formou cvičení v prezenčním studiu a řízených skupinových konzultací v kombinovaném studiu. Rozsah povinné účasti ve výuce: Minimální povinná účast na cvičení / semináři v prezenčním studiu je 80%, na řízených skupinových konzultacích v kombinovaném studiu 50%. Studentům, kteří nesplní povinný rozsah účasti, mohou být v průběhu semestru zadány dodatečné studijní povinnosti (v míře, která umožní prokázat studijní výsledky a získané kompetence nezbytné pro úspěšné zakončení předmětu). Způsob zakončení předmětu: Předmět je zakončen klasifikovaným zápočtem. Zápočet osvědčuje splnění stanovených studijních povinností. SPECIFIKACE POŽADAVKŮ K ZÍSKÁNÍ KLASIFIKOVANÉHO ZÁPOČTU 1. POVINNÁ ÚČAST VE VÝUCE Na cvičeních je její rozsah v prezenčním studiu stanoven minimálně na 80%, na řízených skupinových konzultacích na 50%. 2. TEST NA KLASIFIKOVANÝ ZÁPOČET (CREDIT TEST) Student bude ohodnocen známkou na základě následující tabulky: Počet bodů Známka Hodnocení 92 - 100 A výborně 84 - 91 B výborně minus 76 - 83 C velmi dobře 68 - 75 D velmi dobře minus 60 - 67 E dobře méně než 60 F nevyhověl 3. DOTATEČNÁ STUDIJNÍ POVINNOST V případě, že student bude mít účast mezi 40 a 80% (PS), resp. mezi 4- 6 vyuč.hodinami na KS (6-10 u předmětů AAJ) bude muset splnit PRE-CREDIT TEST. Teprve poté je dotyčný připuštěn k vlastnímu zápočtovému testu (CREDIT TEST). Účast pod 40% (včetně)na PS, resp. nedosahující 4 vyuč.hodin u KS (6 u předmětů B_AAJ) znamená nemožnost splnění dodatečné studijní povinnosti a hodnocení „nevyhověl“.

Řízené konzultace: Po úvodní prověrce pochopení samostatně prostudovaných témat následuje dovysvětlení méně pochopených partií, přednesení a procvičení nového tématu. - Anotace je stejná pro obě formy studia. Cíle kurzu jsou zaměřeny na praktické uplatnění absolventa a sledují osvojení lexikálních jednotek, frazeologických vazeb ekon. jazyka, fixaci gram. struktur, porozumění přímému i reprodukovanému projevu, práci s odborným textem a zdokonalení písemného projevu.

- Vyučovací metody: Cvičení: V úvodu je prověřováno pochopení základních problémů z předcházejícího cvičení, další část je věnována vysvětlení a procvičování dalšího tématu. Řízené konzultace: Po úvodní prověrce pochopení samostatně prostudovaných témat následuje dovysvětlení méně pochopených partií, přednesení a procvičení nového tématu. Metody hodnocení: zápočet - splnění studijních povinností, 80% docházky (KS-50%)
