Course objectives
The course has an ambition to build a solid base of knowledge in the field of management and balanced leadership from a relatively wide view angle so that the listener is well equipped for subsequent specialized subjects of the field studied and understands the overall context of management for the effective operation of the company.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this course the student will have the following professional knowledge. He will be able to: define, understand and understand the nature and meaning of management, to introduce the notion of management by management science in its developmental phases, explain and justify why management is necessary for all kinds of organizations, to clarify why control requires a system approach, to specify management functions / processes, to define the advantages and disadvantages of individual organizational structures, based on the variability of economic reality define the reason for change management and approaches to change management, explain the benefits of CRM's approach and philosophy, to explain the continuity of the concept of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility, the importance of adhering to ethics in the business environment, explain the difference between process and project management, to explain the concept of innovation related to the competitiveness of the company, to be able to describe specific corporate activities and activities within the Model of Innovative Management, the trend of lean entrepreneurship, understand the principles of development and achievement of leadership balance, Develop a Personal Development Plan to improve basic managerial skills. During the course the student acquires the following professional skills. He will be able to: to work with information sources, to analyze acquired data and to set targets for individual managerial activities, to develop the timeline of the development stages of the management, look for examples of good practice, the benefits of successful managers for organizational development, to design an effective organizational structure for a particular business, search for 3 CRM software to define their advantage introduce the principles of CSR, propose a project for CSR implementation at VŠFS, to specify the term Industry 4.0 and its impacts on individual business units, Perform self-assessment of managerial skills - such as the ability to delegate, in the personal development plan to record one area in which the student wants to improve. Develop a timeline of work on self improvement, to draw up a roadmap for an effective consultation.

Teaching methods
Lectures will usually include a lecture (theory, new knowledge including practical examples) and a practical part (case study). Part of the lecture can be filled with self-assessment questionnaires, discussion on the topic, group work, etc. It will include the assignment of home preparation tasks for the next lesson. The exercises will be focused on learning to learn through their own judgment, based on economic and critical thinking oriented towards entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship, creativity, creativity, presentation and communication, active attitude to the world, open access to new forms of management. Emphasis will be placed not on accurate thinking based on verified qualitative and quantitative data, on the ability to work with information, with trend information and presentation systems. Management will be presented on a scientific basis as a sequence of interconnected projects and processes. Combined study will take place in the form of a controlled consultation where, in addition to a condensed presentation of the topic, a previous self-study is also expected to allow for subsequent consultation.
Assessment methods
The subject is terminated with a BACK. Daily attendance: Assignment of credit is subject to the obligation of active attendance min. 75% (ie not just attendance, but active participation in teaching, discussion, interaction, argumentation), fulfillment of homework tasks. Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes: Course-unit credit: - Medal of a family business. Search for a Czech family business. Assemble her Medallion - history, business subject, timeline of development, the importance of the company for the town in which it operates, the excellence and know-how of family businesses .... Evaluate which owner's management activities have led to its success and development, what features are expected from the business owner, what skills the owner and the top manager have to control to make the company successful. Combined form: Assignment of the credit is bound to fulfill the obligation of active attendance in min. 50% participation in managed consultations (but not just attendance, but active participation in teaching, discussion, interaction, argumentation). Credit work either a family business medallion - see above or developing a "Personal development plan in one of the core managerial skills" (eg self-learning, active listening, dialogue management, feedback, delegation, counseling, effective influence, motivation, conflict resolution, etc.) Students will not accept late attendance and activities in the course of the course. devices (tablets, phones, etc.) that are not directly related to learning.
