- Course objectives: The course objectives are valid for both full-time and part-time students. 1. Mastering English language for special purposes, i.e. terminology and phrases needed in presentation skills. 2. Systematic improvement of knowledge, skills and language habits from the viewpoint of language tools (phonetics, pronunciation, orthography,vocabulary and grammar) as well as language functions (both receptive and productive skills) with a special focus on presentation skills. 3. Semantic and functional focus: monitoring authentic language of presentations + mastering terminology and key phrases, with a special focus on marketing, economic and business management English topics, professionally and fluently.

- Interactive seminars in both types of study (full-time students and part-time students). In each seminar, the explanation of theoretial concepts used in professional presentations will be immediately followed by practical exercises and 'hands-on' training. Active involvement of students is required. Students will follow different types of instructions guiding their individual work, work in pairs, and group work. Special focus will be given to the evaluation of students' progress. Multimedia resources (audio sequences and video sequences) will be implemented into the programme of each seminar based on the teacher's selection.
- Metody hodnocení
- 1 Mandatory active participation in interactive seminars: 75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students. 2 Apart from the mandatory active participation in the seminars, the students will be asked to prepare a group presentation and present it before their peers, which will be a precondition for gaining the course CREDITS. 3. Students with individual study programmes will submit their presentations via email in the form of a PPT presentation + an MP3 audio recording to the lecturer in due time for the end-of-course assessment. 4 Additional study obligations: in case the student has the seminar attendance between 40-70 % (full time students), resp. between 4-6 lessons (part-time students) he/she will have to pass PRE-CREDIT TEST in the extent sufficiently proving their competencies necessary for the successful completion of the subject. Only then he/she can prepare his/her presentation to get the course CREDITS = Z. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet the additional study requirements and he/she will be assessed as "Failed" = NNN

- Course objectives: The course objectives are valid for both full-time and part-time students. 1. Mastering English language for special purposes, i.e. terminology and phrases needed in presentation skills. 2. Systematic improvement of knowledge, skills and language habits from the viewpoint of language tools (phonetics, pronunciation, orthography,vocabulary and grammar) as well as language functions (both receptive and productive skills) with a special focus on presentation skills. 3. Semantic and functional focus: monitoring authentic language of presentations + mastering terminology and key phrases with a special focus on marketing, economic and business management English topics professionally and fluently.

- Interactive seminars in both types of study (full-time students and part-time students). In each seminar, the explanation of theoretial concepts used in professional presentations will be immediately followed by practical exercises and 'hands-on' training. Active involvement of students is required. Students will follow different types of instructions guiding their individual work, work in pairs, and group work. Special focus will be given to the evaluation of students' progress. Multimedia resources (audio sequences and video sequences) will be implemented into the programme of each seminar based on the teacher's selection.

- 1 Obligatory active participation in interactive seminars: 75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students. 2 Apart from the obligatory active participation in the seminars, the students will be asked to prepare a group presentation and present it before their peers which will be a precondition for gaining the CREDITS. 3. Students with individual study programmes will submit their presentations via email in the form of a PPT presentation + an MP3 audio recording to the lecturer in due time for assessment. 4 Additional study obligations: in case the student has the seminar attendance between 40-70 % (full time students), resp. between 4-6 lessons (part-time students) he/she will have to pass PRE-CREDIT TEST in the extent sufficiently proving their compentences necessary for successfulcompletion of the subject. Only then he/she can prepare his/her presentation to get the CREDITS = Z. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet additional study obligations and he/she will be assessed as "Failed" = NNN

- Cíle předmětu
- Course objectives: 1.Mastering professional and technical English language. 2. Systematic improvement of knowledge, skills and language habits from the viewpoint of language tools (phonetics, orthography, vocabulary and grammar) as well as language functions (both receptive and productive skills) with a special focus on presenting skills. 3. Semantic and functional focus: monitoring authentic language of presentations + mastering key phrases used in presenting economic and marketing English topics fluently and spontaneously. The course objectives are valid for part-time students as well.

- Interactive seminars in both types of study (full-time students and part-time study programme students). The explanation of theoretical concepts used in presenting will be immediately followed by practical exercises - individual work, work in pairs, group work. Special focus will be given to the evaluation of students' progress. Multimedia resources (audio sequences and video sequences) will be implemented into the programme of each seminar.
- Metody hodnocení
- Assessment 1. Obligatory active participation in interactive seminars: 75% full-time students; 50 % part-time students. 2. Apart from the obligatory active participation in the seminars, the students will be asked to prepare an individual or group presentation and present it before their peers which will be a precondition for gaining the CREDITS. 3. Additional study obligations: in case the student has the seminar attendance between 40-70 % (full time students), or, as the case may be, between 4-6 lessons (part-time study programme students), he/she will be evaluated „-“ and automatically loses one attempt necessary for successful completion of the subject. In order to get the CREDITS = Z, the student will be asked to prepare his/her presentation, incorporating in it the specified presenting skills and techniques studied in the particular term. The seminar attendance less than 40 % means that the student didn't meet additional study obligations and he/she will be assessed as "Failed" = NNN.
